Voice Lesson Scholarships
The Clements HS Choir Booster Club is pleased to offer voice lesson scholarships for families in financial need.
The number of available scholarships will vary each year based upon fundraising efforts from the previous year.
Number of Voice Lesson scholarships being awarded in the 2024-2025 school year: Four scholarships of up to 27 lessons for the year.
To be eligible, the applicant must be:
A current member of Clements Choir
Auditioning for All-State and performing in our Solo Contest
Evaluation
The application will be reviewed by the directors. Directors will take into account the quality of the application and the daily contributions of the students to the program. Booster Club Officers may read the essays if additional review is necessary.
APPLYING
There are two items required from each applicant.
The Essay:
To better ensure impartial evaluation, there should be no identifying information on the essay for this application.
This includes applicants’ names, email addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, etc.Format Needs: typed 1-inch margin, double-spaced essay . Minimum length is 500 words, but must not exceed 2 pages. For submission, only Microsoft Word documents (.doc/.docx files) will be accepted.
Financial Need- What financial pressures is your family dealing with right now? A sibling in college? Jobs in flux? etc.
Your goals related to choir- What are you hoping to accomplish with voice lessons? Why do you want lessons?
Brag on yourself! Have you competed in All-State/Region? Have you been successful in solo contest? Do you serve the choir program in other ways?
How do you hope to pass on the support? By getting you lessons, how will you contribute differently to the choir program at large? What does choir mean to you?
Submit the Essay to the Microsoft Form with necessary information.
